For the past, maybe, three nights, I've dreamed and dreamed and dreamed.

That's a GREAT thing. Means my brain is trying to recharge from the exhaustion and the crap at work.

Even though I never get to bed early enough to really get caught up. But, that's beside the point.

Last night, after ANOTHER exhausting day, I had one HUGE nightmare, one smaller one, and bizarre dreams the rest of the night. (I very rarely have nightmares.)

Some were about work, so maybe work is the source of it all.

But, sheesh, I don't know where the impending nuclear disaster one came from...unless that was work waiting to explode?

Anyway, hope I don't have another one about trying to escape two nuclear warheads with my kids and wondering how much it was going to hurt.

I finally got up at 4:30. The alarm was going to go off in 45 minutes anyway, and I didn't need ANOTHER strange dream.

Crazy.

Hmm...now I'm hungry. Mmmmm....breakfast.

Wait. I can't. Today is late start day for my youngest son and we always go have breakfast special at Coco's on Thursdays.

I'll go take my shower instead.

Nuclear disaster: That would be my guess. Unless you have a constant fear of nuclear war (which I did once!), explosions usually tend to mean chaos in dreams--a nuclear explosion, series of them, wars, or major meltdown could mean your brain processing the potential for big chaos--like a job loss with a lot of (pun intended) explosive ramifications to follow, and (more bad punning) fallout afterward.

No, I have never had any fear of nuclear war at all. And, I even grew up during the time of the testing of air raid sirens on a monthly basis in Nashville and...gasp...fallout shelters.

But, nope, no fear.

I do think it must have something to do with work, since next week could be the big...ugh...explosion.

Interesting? Cool. Actually, I'm probably more strange. :)

I think this is only the second one I've ever had. The first one was way cool and was from the POV of the main character in my series of novels. I used to dream from her POV a lot. The nuclear explosion was in the distance...Las Vegas blew up. (Which is probably because I'd once lived there...though I liked it there.)

However, what the explosion did was create a dimensional rift (which is something in my series...but not caused by nuclear explosions in my series) and there was this really cool gate that opened up and my character led a bunch of people through.

I still remember it vividly. Very cool dream and I knew where all the aspects of it came from.

I'm guessing that the one last night was due to what's going on at work and that I'm expecting it all to explode next week. That would make lots of sense.

You know, I ADORE lavender. And, I have a sachet filled with lavender buds that I used to sleep with. But, I brought it to work to help fight stress instead.

I do have some lavender EO. I should try what you suggested. I bet that would help. I love lavender. Thanks for the suggestion.

Breakfast was GREAT! (So was coming into work half an hour late, too. But, they're cool about it, which is one of the reasons I hate to lose this job.)

Remember, though, if you use lavender EO on/in your pillow, keep kitties away from it; it's not good for them to touch or sniff essential oils.

Well, if it makes you feel better I had a dream the other night where I was dying from cancer! I had two months left to live, so I left my husband (don't ask me why!) and decided to go on a trip. For some reason I wasn't too worried about the dying part!
