To Doctor, To Doctor, The Kitty Cat Went
May. 9th, 2005 07:38 pmHad to take Kero to the vet after I got off work this afternoon. Poor baby was having allergy problems and had scratched himself raw and had a rash on his pretty tummy. He was losing his fur in patches and had chewed so much in an effort to stop the itching that he hacks up hairballs at least once a day.
Sniffle...poooor baby.
Bought a kitty carrier. I thought he'd be afraid of it.
But, he LOVES it. He hopped out when we got home and went to eat and drink, then went back in to sleep. My daughter put a folded up sheet in it for him so he wouldn't slide around. He even let baby Malik (who is MUCH bigger than him and four years younger) go in with him and they curled up together.
Sweet kitties.
Kero is allergic to flea saliva.
He had a complete check-up and was completely healthy other than the allergy trouble. So, he got two shots, and took them like the good boy he is. He also has two prescriptions. Pills. Ick. Those are hard to give cats. One he takes twice a day. One he takes every other day.
And, of course, we came home with Advantage. We'll get rid of those fleas and all three cats will be much, much happier.
Now, if we could just find out which new neighbor brought them here!!! Cause my cats are indoor cats and NEVER go outside. (And we haven't had fleas in like two - three years.)
No more crying. Kero feels better tonight.
I'm sooooo glad.
I love my kitty. :)
