Yesterday was Wonderful
Dec. 11th, 2006 05:44 amBut, I was too tired to post last night.
Too tired to write or edit either, so I read through things. Stuff of mine. Stuff from OWW. I had a really good time reading. It was nice. It was relaxing.
Then I went to bed around 8:30, cause I was exhausted.
manga_queen and I had a lovely day at Disneyland. All the rain fell the night before. It was clear and brisk in the morning, but warmed up to the high 60's later in the morning.
We got there at 8:00 and stayed until around 1:30, when it started getting really crowded.
The Park was beautiful with Christmas decorations and in the holiday spirit with music and ride decorations. I'm not too keen on the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations on the Haunted Mansion, but they're okay, I guess.
We rode rides like Indiana Jones Adventure and Pirates of the Caribbean early so we just walked on with no wait.
I really like what they've done with Pirates and love the new drop.
There was lots of live music and entertainment, we loved the reindeer, and the Jedi Training Academy was cool to watch, too.
This is the best visit I've had to Disneyland in a LONG time. Mostly because we beat the crowds in the morning and left before it got to bad.
I came home and made quiche for dinner and then read and watched TV.
Brain has insisted on some downtime, which I really haven't given it in a long while, so I let it slack off this weekend. All I really did that was productive was query letters and some reviews for OWW.
Though, plotting and thinking stories is productive too, I guess, cause it will ultimately come out as edits and new words.
Got some inspiration yesterday while I was at Disneyland, so I think I'll be ready to hit the second chapter of City of Fallen Stars soon.
Looking forward to the holidays. I can't believe Christmas is two weeks from today! And, while I love holidays for themselves, I'm really looking forward to the time off too.
Well, got to get ready for work. Everybody have a great day!
