Quiche? Or Oatmeal?
Nov. 19th, 2006 07:44 amI bought all the ingredients to make a quiche for breakfast on Thanksgiving, but it's really hard to resist the urge to make it this morning.
However, I also bought some steel cut oats at Smart & Final yesterday, and I do love a good bowl of Irish oatmeal, too.
Both sound enticing.
However, kids are all still asleep and I'm enjoying the quiet. And, yes, I'm actually writing even though I'm spamming LJ this morning, too.
So, I hate to give up my quiet time.
Cereal seems so blah. Not my thing this morning.
And, I'd rather have something hot.
Maybe I'll just scramble some eggs and throw in bacon bits and cheese. That'll hold me for now. (I have to eat before I can take meds and I've been up an hour so I really SHOULD take meds.)
And, I have enough eggs that it won't endanger my quiche-making project on Thanksgiving.
Mmmmm...quiche.
I blame this on the action scene I'm writing. I think all this action between my wounded heroine and the badass monster she's fighting is making me hungry.
