Ending August
Aug. 31st, 2006 05:37 amCan you believe today's the last day of August?
Where has the year gone?
For me, what I'd hoped to be a glorious year, full of productivity and words and novels, hasn't turned out to be all that so far.
Last year was a nightmare year.
This year has had its share of leftovers from the year before, which I really didn't expect.
The hardest aspects have been being transferred to Santa Ana, and doing that nightmarish drive for almost three months.
Changing jobs and having so much overtime I think I'm dying from exhaustion.
Having the IRS come after me because I had knowledge that there were payroll taxes unpaid from the company that went out of business/was purchased MINUS liabilities last year. (Even though the company was in the process of paying them on an IRS payment plan when it went out of business.)
There are other real life ups and downs, but I can roll with the punches and cope with them.
The three big things, though, have left me worn and exhausted, physically, mentally, emotionally. Just trying to keep life going has been a challenge sometimes.
I've tried to remain upbeat, but sometimes, I'm too tired for even that, LOL.
However, there are still four more months left in the year, and the first of those four starts tomorrow.
I intend to climb back to my feet.
Get more rest.
Make some goals I can meet.
Find ways to streamline life and make it easier and less stressful.
Finish and revise my screenplay.
Finish two novels. (One being started for NaNo.)
Write, write, WRITE.
And, be ready to do some querying in 2007.
We're getting into the holiday time. I love holidays.
And, that means some time off, too.
I can live with that. :)
