Oh, Joy! Oh, Rapture! It's Hump Day!
Aug. 30th, 2006 05:48 amAnd after today, we'll be on the downside of the week, heading for a three-day weekend!!!
Woo-hoo! I, for one, am in desperate NEED of that long weekend.
How about you folks? You got anything planned for the last holiday of the summer? Going anywhere? Staying home?
I am staying home, though oldest son and I were considering a drive up to the desert to a place we've always wanted to eat (we see it when we drive to and from Nevada), depending on what the traffic is like.
I think even a short trip like that (couple of hours each direction) would help me revive a little bit. I've been pretty dead lately. Not only am I less productive when I'm dead, but I feel like sh*t, too.
Got 30 pages to write on my screenplay between now and tomorrow, but that's not going to happen. It's been a transitional week with daughter and youngest son going back to school this week. (Oldest started three weeks ago.)
Now, I'm all over the place, dropping off and picking up. Once things settle into a routine, we'll deal with the craziness of it and see if we can get some relief.
So, the 30 pages will be written by end of day Saturday, and then I'm going to see if I can get the next 30 done between Saturday and Sunday.
And, work on novel.
I haven't even been posting word count meters and progress lately, which shows you just how totally WORN OUT I have been. All I can think about is sleep.
So, I hope to catch up on that, too. :)
Anyway, off to work. I mean, off to drop of kids and then go to work.
Everybody have a good day!
