Zooooooom!
Aug. 13th, 2006 02:10 pmOne of the nice things that happened while I was taking downtime from LJ is that a man at work, who was retiring, gave each of us in the department a really nice parting gift.
Part of the gift was a $50 AMC gift card.
I've been wanting to use it the past few weekends, but have either had to work or have just been too exhausted to use it.
This weekend, I'm good. So, kids and I went to the movies.
Now that the AMCs have $5 movies before noon on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, you can't beat the price of admission.
While I know it's NOT going to be one of the big movies of the summer, it looked like a laugh, so we went to see Tim Allen's new movie, Zoom.
Do I think it's for everybody? No. Lots of people will probably find it stupid.
Was it good for us? We loved it.
It was funny, it had super heroes, it had backstory, it had a great character arc for Tim Allen's character, some unexpected moments, and a really, kick-ass, feel good, HAPPY ending.
It was fun. I enjoyed it.
