Almost Over
Jul. 30th, 2006 09:51 pmJuly, that is.
My, didn't it go FAST?
It just kinda disappeared before I realized it.
I'm officially giving up on my July goal of finishing the novel and writing 50,000 words (which was dropped from my original 100,000 word goal), and I'm going to be content with what I've created for the month.
Why?
Well, maybe I've developed more common sense in my old age.
Or, it's because I've worked a lot of overtime this month.
Or, maybe it's cause I've spent a couple of weeks sick.
Or, maybe--just maybe--I've learned some really valuable lessons in plotting, story development, and perseverance this month. Lessons that are far more valuable and will serve me more than all the words I could have written would.
So, yeah, I think I'll probably end the month up pretty happy in spite of not writing a lot and having a few pretty rough ups and downs. :)
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with myself.
