Four Days Off?

How many of you have four day weekends for the 4th of July???

Got any plans for it, if you've got it?

I do not have a four day weekend. In fact, I have to work a few hours tomorrow...probably only 3-4 hours.

We're in the middle of month-end close at work, and we have to have the cost accounting aspects of it complete in two days.

However, I'm going to try to sneak in at least one day of Anime Expo. Wish I could go tomorrow cause CLAMP is there. Don't think I'm going to make it, though.

The company I get all my manga art supplies from (paper, pens, markers, etc.) is going to have several booths there, so I'd like to get in to see what they have for sale.

Maybe Sunday. Maybe on the 4th.

Monday is my daughter's birthday, but since her birthday is close to that of a friend of hers, I think we're going to have a BBQ at the park next weekend for the two of them. Maybe it'll be cooler then.

I'm taking a vacation day on Monday, so I've got the four-day weekend. I feel a little guilty that I don't have anything big planned, like a trip or something. But I plan to write, and catch up on chores, and tear out and replant my garden plot, and edit a friend's novel, and generally hang around and do the stuff I haven't had time for lately.

And maybe sneak off to Cedar Key for a little kayaking if the weather's nice.

I have a 4 day weekend.

Original plan was to spend it writing one project, and flash editing another. However, looks like stuff came up on Sunday, and though it's not life or death, it's for a friend who I'm not going to see much of in the coming months, so I feel sorta obligated, though at the same time, kind of petty-upset because I'd blocked out that day for writing.

I get torn sometimes, because I don't want to put my writing above the other people in my life, yet at the same time, my writing is very important to me, and I hate that it's the first thing that gets chopped when stuff comes up--good or bad.

4 day weekend woot!

No real plans, though, beyond seeing Superman at some point. But given the events of last weekend, I could use a ton of downtime. Maybe finally get some reading done, since that's been piling up on me. :-)

Monday's not an official company holiday, but they are letting most people have it off. Unfortunately, the three other people who can do my job all requested it off, so I have to come in. But it's not all bad - since my boss won't be here I can play on the internet or write.
