Okay, so I gave it more thought, and decided definitely to lower my monthly word count goal. I think this is the first time I've done that. Other times, I've just missed them.

This time, I'm going to admit it. I need to rest. I need to recharge. I need to get used to this new job and let my brain cells revive and get ready to really get back to my writing.

So, monthly goal down from 45,000 words (1,500 words/day) to 30,000 words for the month (1,000 words/day). I think I can still handle that. :)

It is amazing how stress can affect our ability to write - even the "good" stress of starting a new job. I think you are wise to lower your goals a little bit. They still seem pretty ambitious to me.
