Pleasantly Surprised

queenoftheskiesI decided to go back and add up my word counts for the weekend. I didn't have a gangbusters weekend, but by the end of last night, I felt that maybe I was working my way back into a normal place.
I discovered that, for the entire weekend, from Friday night through last night, I wrote 7,783 words, which is actually more than I expected.
True, I used to write than many in one day, but I'm feeling pretty good today, so maybe those days aren't far away.
Granted, it's really, really hard to get in a massive amount of words with the commute and the current job, but at least I'm going to make my word count goal for the month. After not making it for three months in a row, I think it is, that's going to please me lots.
I even have a few words written this morning. But, I really have to go now, or I'm going to be late to work.
