Because I'm Not Very Bright...
Apr. 21st, 2006 11:33 pmI am still up.
But, on my way to bed.
I have some words on Phantom Song, but not enough to report.
I was wiped out from work, so naturally, in order to distance myself from it, kids and I went out to dinner tonight and then picked up some DVD's at Hollywood video. Buy 2, get 2 free. Not a bad deal. Very inexpensive.
Daughter and I watched the remake of The Fog when we got home. Not bad.
I have tons and tons and tons of things to write this weekend, so I hope I can get them done. (Heh. It would help if I'd sleep first, huh?)
Got my rejection tonight from Glimmer Train.
I said I wouldn't be upset, but I expected to be. I'm not. Isn't that odd?
I think I'm going to send the story out again and see how it fares before I decide whether to make changes or not. However, I'm not quite sure what market I'm going to pick next. That's the hard part. :)
But, I bet I can make that decision better if I sleep. Yes?
Good night, Live Journal.
Everyone sleep well.

Date: 2006-04-22 07:35 am (UTC)Yay to not letting it mess up your day.
My two cents: Send the story out again, or post it to original_beta if you'd like, maybe we can be of help.
Anyway, have a nice weekend.

Date: 2006-04-22 01:01 pm (UTC)I haven't read the story, but if you considered it literary enough for GT, then maybe The Pedestal?
Or go over to storypilot.com and look for paying markets that take literary stories.
And congrats on the rejection! Look at them as badges of honor. You can't win if you don't play. :]
