I can't remember the last time I had them this bad. Oh, yes, I can. Back when I lived in Nashville...25 years ago!!!

I honestly think that what's made them worse is something down in Santa Ana, where I work. I don't know what it is, but it might actually be something at work.

There was no time today that I wasn't miserable, and the worst part is that I can't take any sort of OTC sinus/allergy/cold meds.

Sniffle. Sniffle. Sniffle.

Sad to hear you're feeling so sick........

Vitamin C. One of my allergists recommended vitamin C, 1000-2000 mg of the pure powder, dissolved in liquid. I usually use calcium ascorbate.

The other thing he recommended occasionally was alka-seltzer gold. [They may have changed the name -- it is the non-aspirin formula, that is just alkaline salts.]

I'm fortunate in that antihistamines don't make me drowsy, so the OTC stuff is fine for me...

poor thing!
it's probably the eucalyptus or pine trees
(eucalyptus blooms have the most highly allergic tree pollen in California)

Do they really? OMG, I never knew that. And, I LOVE the smell of eucalyptus trees. That's just sad.

We have them ALL OVER our apartment complex...I can see at least half a dozen outside my bedroom window.

That would explain things, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I can't take the OTC stuff cause they react with meds that I take.

The rest of the year, all it takes is a good inhale of eucalyptus to CLEAR my head.

Yes, I should be able to.

Do you purchase it...where? Health food store? Pharmacy?

I hate allergies. Have you tried rinsing your nose with salt water? The health food stores sell a special little nose pot for it, but I just put the salt water in a cup and snort it. About 1/4 teaspoon salt to a quart of water. The salt buffers the water so it doesn't sting, but the water washes away pollen and goo and stuff.
