I HATE CORPORATE AMERICA!!!

Well, I got up this morning. So far, so good.

Then, I decided to check my bank balance before I went out to my normal Saturday morning breakfast/writing time. Holy crap! I just about had a heart attack!!! I was overdrawn...through no fault of my own.

Public Storage, where I've had crap stored for almost 5 years had put through my monthly payment TWICE. Stupid people.

So, I called my bank's customer service, who has helped me with similar problems before. Naturally, their policy changed and they wouldn't let me dispute it because their records showed it had been processed twice by Public Storage, so it was a legitimate charge. Sigh...

So, I waited until Public Storage opened and went over there. They printed out a ledger on my account and said, "See, we only processed it once."

So, I tried the bank again. They said, "They processed it two days in a row, so one charge probably hasn't hit your account yet."

So...bottom line...passing the buck and NOBODY was going to help me. In spite of the fact that I pointed out this was a THREE DAY WEEKEND and they were leaving me overdrawn...with two OD charges to hit my account in addition to the $71 overdrawn.

Double sigh.

As a last resort, I went to my bank branch...which is a long way from where I live, cause that's the way everything is in SoCal.

AND THEY HELPED ME. I love my branch. Hate the bank. Hate Public Storage. Love the branch.

Whew!
