Tonight, we had chili that I bought at Smart & Final. Maybe it was their brand. Maybe it was an off brand. Either way, I bought it because it was cheaper than the other brands.

Never again.

It was nasty. Tasted like coffee grounds. Bleh.

Oh man. I made that mistake once. Some things you just can't skimp on. I think chili's one of them.

Was that the "mountain grown" blend of chili or the French roast? Yuck! Sometimes the cheap/off brands come out ahead, other times they really leave a bad taste in the mouth.
