I So Did Not Want to Get Up This Morning!
Feb. 28th, 2006 05:41 amCause the rain is pouring down outside and it sounds so nice on the roof and I could have really kept sleeping for a while longer.
Sadly, my baby Malik is afraid of the rain. It's not really that loud as it hits the roof, so I guess it must be that we've had thunder and lightning with rain in the past and he remembers that. It was during one of those storms that he started hiding when he hears loud noises. Usually in youngest son's closet.
This morning, he's out slinking around. He came into the bathroom when I got up and cried to be picked up. Since then, he's hidden under the covers several times and is now crouched under my desk between my feet.
Poor baby kitty. (Who is not a baby, but is over 2 years old and 20 pounds.)

Date: 2006-02-28 02:12 pm (UTC)There's nothing quite as pitiful-yet-irritating as a pet with an irrational fear, is there?

Also, it may not be loud to us humans but he's a cat. Better hearing and all that.
