I'll be hitting Writer's Weekend. I'd LOVE to go to Butchercon, but that's a bit out of my way and probably out of my budget as well, given that I've already got one big trip booked for this year.
I went to Writer's Weekend last year and very much enjoyed it, but I'm not going this year as I can't justify it. The workshops were nice but only one that I attended was truly useful to me. Most of the agents and editors specialized in Romance and I don't write romance so it's not a good schmoozing event for me either. I wish I could afford just to go for the fun company and getting to hang with other cool writer folk, but I can't. Maybe next year.
Butchercon, I don't know much about other than they were having terrible problems with their venue.
I went to Writer's Weekend last year, and I'll be back again this year. I've been looking forward to it since last years ended. (Which is why I need the days off. Grr day job! Give me the day off!)
Definitely Butchercon - it's in one of my 'home' cities - still trying to work the finances for WW, see if I can afford a trip to Seattle after quitting the second job!
I'll be at WW this year but probably not Butchercon, not unless I give up on the idea of going to the World Fantasy Con in Austin. I wish I could do all three.
