Can I Post Without a Subject Line?
Jan. 24th, 2006 08:41 pmI'm brain dead and can't think of one. That happens to me sometimes.
But, tomorrow is Wednesday. Woo-hoo.
And, I made incredible progress on my novel today, so I'm pleased. Word count is still average, but I went through some important scenes and I think they'll hang together on rewrite.
Yeah, I know, I upped the word count total again, but I know where to streamline later, so it's okay.

Date: 2006-01-25 03:37 pm (UTC)Yes, I feel this way often!!!
Yay, Wednesday!
Wednesdays are great. I figure, once I get to Wednesday, it's all downhill from here!
(you are so close to your monthly goal already!)
I'm really pleased with this. It means I'll get in extra words this month, so if something happens another month and I can't get all the words written, I'll have a cushion.

Date: 2006-01-25 03:44 pm (UTC)I'm so sorry yesterday was so stressful for you. Were you able to get any sleep last night? I hope you're feeling better today and that your voice is back!
Giddiness sets in when I'm tired.
I have that happen, too. It's a little like being tipsy, don't you think?
Yay on making progress, even if not word related! Isn't it exciting when the pieces snap into place? Yay!
It really is. It's nice to be back on a roll again. I worked through some really difficult action scenes over the last few weeks where one thing after another happened to the protagonist, who was trying not only to stay alive, but to keep the woman he loves (not his wife, but he's not unfaithful either) alive as well. (She's hurt and unconscious, so it was kinda like dragging along a stone cause he's not Mr. Macho and not accustomed to situations like the ones he was thrown into.) Now,I'm back to some character/emotional/magical stuff, and I'm MUCH more at east with that. :)
You're sooooooo close to meeting your monthly goal, too! Double yay!
That's soooo exciting for me. I hope to hit it tomorrow. Does that mean I'll stop for the month? No, of course not. It means that I'll end up with a cushion in case I have a month where something happens that I can't get as many words in.
And, you know what's really strange? Even though it's only 6.3%, there's something strangely satisfying about seeing that yearly word count meter moving, too. Aren't I pathetic?

Date: 2006-01-25 03:49 pm (UTC)I am astonished by your work-rate and commitment, you're amazing.
Thank you. You're VERY kind. It wasn't easy at first to make myself produce on a continuous basis. I worked up to this, believe me. :)
I wish I had even a portion of your drive!
I think it's sheer stubbornness. :)
Sometimes, I even accuse myself of stupidity, when I'm sitting up until 11:00 and I'm exhausted, and I'm going, "Just 200 more words...groan..." Thud!
Not every day is easy, but then, it's not supposed to be, is it?
It's writing. And, writing is very hard work.
