Please, Please, Please...Don't Let Sci Fi Channel Mess Up War of the Worlds

I'm getting ready to watch it because I love War of the Worlds.

I adored the OLD film, the first one made. Probably because I grew up on all those old SF movies.

Haven't had the opportunity to see the Spielberg one, though I hope to see it on PPV soon.

I'm getting ready to watch the Sci Fi Channel version (or see if they're just using that title) and I hope it doesn't suck, cause sometimes their originals REALLY SUCK!

Sorry......it sucks. :-( Although it is a good study of what not to do in regards to story and plot.

We don't have access to the Sci-Fi channel, but I saw the Spielberg version last week and enjoyed it, even though I'm not the worlds biggest Tom Cruise fan.

So, was the sci-fi version any good?

I really liked the new War of the Worlds. I was very skeptical. but it turned out really great (despite Tom Cruise). There are some wonderful scenes in it (the river, the train, the clothes in the forest).

Anyway, I'd buy it on DVD. For me, that's saying something.

I don't have the SciFi channel. *whimper* I wish I did.
