We Have...RAIN!
Jan. 14th, 2006 12:23 pmIt wasn't supposed to happen until tonight. They revised our forecast to only PM showers.
It was perfectly clear, except for clouds over the mountains, when I left home around 7:15. By 8:15, while I was eating breakfast, it was getting pretty cloudy. By 9:15, it was raining...not much, just a little at first.
Now it's kinda foggy and I have my window open so I can hear the rain outside. Ahhhhh. Nice.
This probably sounds nuts to those of you who get lots of rain, but we don't get so much out here, so it's a real treat to be able to kick back and enjoy it.
I did TOO much running around today. Lots of errands since I got paid yesterday and it had been THREE weeks since I'd been paid, because of the holidays...and rent had come out of my last check. Made things tight, and I'm trying to catch up now.
Got most of the bills paid this morning, had breakfast, went to Walmart, got gas, went to Sam's Club, went to Trader Joe's, went to Stater Brothers, came home.
Seems like I spent a million dollars on food and kitty litter, and household necessities. Hope they last a while. Sheesh!
Well, off to make my car payment and then write.
Hope to get some real work accomplished this afternoon.
