So, what is everybody writing on these days?

Or revising...

Or marketing...

It's so exciting to hear of everyone's progress and I love reading it when your projects make it out into the world. I love following your progress and CHEERING for you!!!

One of my goals for the year is to shove some little fledgling projects out of the nest and see if they fly or fall. (Poor little fledgling projects.)

But, I think that might not happen until mid-year. I have too much momentum going in other directions right now.

For all of you NaNo participants, are you still working on your NaNo project in some shape or form? Completing it? Revising it? Querying it?

How many of you are completely finished with it now?

You're such an inspiration with the daily word counts. Even if I don't comment I do read them, it's good to know someone's getting on and writing! All of my projects are on hold right now until my routine settles down. I really ought to take a leaf out of your book and write every day even if I don't think I have the time, I think it'd do me the world of good.

Two projects in progress: Lament of the Dove at just under 135,000 words and Queen of Souls at around 4,500. Just started that one a week ago. Both are fantasy, though one is more epic fantasy and the first of a trilogy and the other is a standalone, probably best described as urban fantasy. :)

I am writing INFERNII, the third book in the Nocturnal Urges series.

I am also writing an article about surviving your first con for the Cerridwen Press newsletter, and considering a humor article on stereotypical suicidal behaviors in horror movies.

I am editing several projects, unfortunately most of them for free. I need to build up my editing service clientele or give it up.

And I continue writing one or two articles a day for my newspaper in the day job.

Other than that, I'm not busy.

I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going with the NaNo novel. I haven't abandoned it, but I'm not writing much on it either.

I'm also working on a short story set in the same universe, narrated by one of the characters from the novel (it may do double-duty as an excerpt of his memoir in the novel). Having some trouble with part of the plot -- I know where Point A is and where Point D is, but am a bit confused on what/how/where Points B and C are.

i haven't decided what to work on.

i'm currently laying out a graphic novel for the press, so my writing is on hold until i can get that under control (hopefully i can start something next week).

i have lots of options. i'm hoping one will leap forward, screaming: me me me! pick me!

I just finished a story for Polyphony 6. It's off to beta readers, and I'll polish that in time for the January 31 deadline.

My next project is rewriting my Nano novel. I'm psyched! :)

Still working on the short story that turned into a novella for my writing hours, while I my reading time goes to research and technique-trawling to serve my eventual return to the Nano ms.

Still working on The Dar Caldrin Hunt. I've promised my husband only to work on this one until it's done. *grin*

I'm working on my paranormal story I have going right now. I haven't abandoned my NaNo baby completely, I'm just not touching it until March. Then it's NaNo edit Mo for me. I wasn't happy with it over December, maybe just sick of it, so I decided to shelve it for a few months

I'm in the process of getting many of my short stories back out to market. And I will be editing my NaNoWriMo novel for the next couple of months.

Publishing at the end of this month; the prequel to the Nano project. That's eating up a lot of my time right now, but the Nano project itself'll be done in the next hour or so.

Aside from those first 17 pages, I'm quite pleased with it.

Just finished London Calling, third book in my Kinkaid Chronicles. My agent still hasn't read the second one, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Yes, I'm writing them fast.

About a third of the way through Restless, a short story (anthology requirement is 3500 words minimum/7000 words maximum) about the detective in the Kinkaid series. This has a 15 February deadline and it's kicking my butt, thanks to not having been anywhere near the locale (Miami and environs) at the time of the story (1995).

About to write the long-form synopsis for London Calling, and send to agent.

About to start fourth book in the Kinkaid series, Cleveland Rocks.

Waiting to hear from my editor at St. Martin's Press whether or not book four in the Haunted Ballads series (Cruel Sister) will require any major changes; it's on the Autumn 2006 release list.

Having written three full novels and most of a fourth between 27 May 2005 and yesterday, I don't feel a need for NaNoWriMo...

I have finally given up on my depressing novel from this year's NaNo. At least for now. I can't get my head into it at all, and I am without words for it. I will check back into this novel in six months or so, and see if maybe it needs to be a novella or something.

Right now I am starting up again on trusong, a novel I started a couple years ago. There seems to be a bunch of activity on it in my head, so I'm going to "strike while the iron is hot." I'm going to rotate active writing on that with Raven's Globe, my last year's novel.

Revisions on Mysterious Paris (aka Nano2003), and shopping around "Blonde Bimbos on the Moon" (Nano2000 turned into a short story).

Status updates frequently on my LJ.

Well you have been super super busy and productive! I am in awe!

My progress almost seems silly compared to yours! *grin*

I'm still marketing Glicia and working on Branded (dirtboy). That's really all going on around here. :)

I'm still writing my vampire stuff.....

Right now I have a book submitted to Double Dragon E-Books and I'm waiting to hear back on that. Depending on the outcome, I'm either going to end up writing the sequel to that book, completely re-working it, or shelving it for now to work on other stuff.

I'm in the process of finishing the first novel in my trilogy. I'm hoping to finish all three books this year, but with the way my progress has been lately, I'm not sure if that will happen or not. I hope so.

Best of luck with your own projects. It's tough to let those little fledglings out into the world!

Still working hard on the same story, though I didn't get to write last night. I did get to write the night before last, though, and made a little progress. I'm going to try and get the chapter finished and typed up soon. I don't know if you saw the entry (though I don't know how you could've missed it), but I PASSED my 40,000 word goal! XD

I have a mega fantasy novel in progress. I expect the first draft to be completed in March. Various chapters are being used to enter contests and apply for grants.

I'm also working on a new screenplay.

Another screenplay is being used to market to Hollywood and also to enter a contest.
