I hate it when I get hungry before it's time to go to bed.

If I don't eat something, meds make me feel icky when I wake up in the morning.

If I do eat something, I don't get to sleep as easily.

And, I eat dinner the same time, almost, every night.

Some nights it happens; some nights it doesn't.

Strange.

I found cheese and crackers that the kids hadn't eaten! Yum!

That mostly happens if I stay up late. Which has the additional negative that I should be getting to sleep and not staying up for a snack.

When it's late and I don't want to eat before bed, I go with a yummy bowl of cereal. :-)

I burn off meals too quickly if I have a carb heavy meal like a baked potato, veggie dominant meals, light stews, mac 'n cheese, meatless pasta or something like. If I have a balanced meal (w/ meat or beans) it doesn't seem to happen as much.

Yup. Happens to me all the time. Was even worse when I was pregnant and not allowed to eat. :(

Although lately I've been saying "screw it" and having carb, and have found that a bowl of cereal does the trick. Filling enough that I can sleep, not so disruptive to keep me up.
