Came to Read Dreamwidth Tonight

With a HUGE headache.

The problem is that, with HUGE headaches, I have difficulty reading large blocks of texts. So, I can read small entries, but have difficulty tracking longer entries and will have to come back for those.

Considering the headache is affecting my vision, I'm guessing it would be an ocular migraine. I get those sometimes. Not as frequently as I once did.

However, since I'm having trouble with the cataract that developed because of the retina detachment surgery last year, it's a little difficult to focus on things anyway. That eye (left) can no longer read and, in the center, can't even really make out shapes. Just shadows.

Would love to get it fixed, but since I just got a new job, I'm not sure when I can take off time for the surgery. Thankfully, it would only take two days, but, still, I've only worked two full weeks and should probably wait a little while to get eye fixed.

It's just annoying, you know?

No fun-- hope you can get your eye sorted out soon!

When I'm having trouble with large text blocks on screen I'll select a few rows to give them visual contrast; that plus scrolling to hide the part I've already read can make things easier to track. Dunno if it'll help in your case, but figured it might be worth a mention.

Maybe mention to the big mosses that it is in your future, if you can trust them? I'm so glad that the new job is easier on you, but take care of those eyes!

It sounds very annoying! I'd want to see if I could make a deal with the bosses for the time, somehow, if it were me. Maybe see if the surgery could be scheduled for a Friday afternoon so you'd have the weekend to recover? If nothing else, I can't imagine that I'd be doing my best work with a vision problem like that!

But you know your situation; you get to pick what works best for you! Good luck with that.

I wish I could have it done on a Friday, but the doctor only performs surgery on Tuesdays, so I'd need a Tuesday and a Wednesday off.
