One must have a plan.

So...I've decided that it's not just good enough to have goals for the year.

I must come up with plans and deadlines to achieve these goals, too.

One plan is completed...

The plan to write 1,000,000 words in 2006

While this is not set in stone and will probably vary from day to day, here's the general plan:

January

68,200 words

2,200/day

February

62,300 words

2,225/day

March

71,300 words

2,300/day

April

125,000 words

goal for the month

May

71,300 words

2,300/day

June

69,000 words

2,300/day

July

125,000 words

goal for the month

August

71,300 words

2,300/day

September

69,000 words

2,300/day

October

71,300 words

2,300/day

November

125,000 words

goal for the month

December

71,300 words

2,300/day

And, that totals 1,000,000 even.

The three months that I've planned for 125,000 will be months that I participate in groups such as NaNo.

Well, I'm on schedule so far, but it's only the first day of the year.

Based on some good months I've had in the past, I really do think I can do it. It's just a matter of avoiding any personal disasters this year. :)

I feel like I really have to try to get somewhere this year. Last year was a really difficult year for me, but I'm going to be positive and just push on ahead.

Whew! I think it's going to be a lot of work.

Holy crap... those are some amazing goals. I wish you the very best of luck hitting your marks, Miss J. And like I reminded a certain somebody else, just remember that you have a community that is standing behind you and is more than willing to help any way we can.

*HUGS*

Happy New Year and good luck with your very impressive goals.

Thanks. I'm trying to start a little ahead, so I'll still be okay if anything comes up and slows me down.

I think everyone's goals are impressive.

Everyone sets goals according to what's reasonable for them and what fits into their lives.

Thanks. I appreciate all your encouragement.

I hope I can get some of this accomplished this year. It would be nice to have a year of progress, with no disasters. :)

I know you and I know that you're going to accomplish a lot this year.

And yes, a disaster free year would be good. Here's hoping that you have that. There will be tough times, but I know you're going to overcome them. You're strong, Miss J and you can overcome everything that life throws at you.
