queenoftheskiesWhy am I so anal about tracking word counts? I guess it helps me feel like I've at least made progress. And, I have made progress.
I also think it gives me a strange sense of having improved because I don't think I could continue to write regularly without improving. I do think I've seen growth in my writing. I've also seen growth in planning projects and completing projects, which is very important.
Hope to continue growth this year. Hope to do lots of revising.
I've printed out my listings of projects, taken a walk-through, and tentatively determined what I'd like to finish, revise, and query for this new year.
For the time period 3/26/04 - 12/31/05, total words written:
Short Stories 46,749
Other Novels 213,262
Celestial Warriors Series Novels 1,130,660
Total Words Written: 1,390,671
I can't wait to see those numbers this time next year. I have BIG plans for 2006.
