A New Day, A New Year
Jan. 1st, 2006 12:36 pmAnd, boy, does it feel great!!!
Maybe I have a lot of unfounded expectations for 2006, but I've been looking forward to it for a long time. New beginnings. New focus. New goals.
I've left the bad behind. Everything is what I make it from here on out.
I have a few personal goals for the year to improve and extend life.
1. Lose 22 pounds. I need to lose more than that, but this is an attainable goal that will make a difference in my health and energy levels.
2. Exercise more. At least three times a week, though I'd like to work up to every day. This also will make a different in my health and energy levels. And, help with maintaining lower stress levels, too, I think.
3. Sleep more and sleep better. I already have a start on this. Things have improved. Now, I just need to get a more constant handle on it. As with #1 and #2, this will help with health and energy levels.
3. Handle stress better. I'm also doing better with this already, too. Just need to get an even better handle on it. And, as with everything above, it'll affect health and energy levels.
4. Take more time to relax...without feeling guilty. By now, you can probably figure out what this affects. :)
5. Save. Just a little at first and work my way up so I don't have financial emergencies pop up.
Just a few little things that I think I can handle this year, but that could potentially make a HUGE difference in my life.
