Got something interesting in the mail.

A form to renew my WGA registration for the first screenplay I ever registered. The registration lasts five years, and then you renew.

Or not.

My writing has improved and matured so much over the last five years that I'm trying to decide if that particular screenplay is something I'd choose to work on again.

However, the idea did generate some interest, even though the screenplay itself was definitely NOT ready for prime time. :)

So, maybe I'll renew my registration and keep the idea. I might even get back to it at some time. Rewrite it and improve it and query it again. :)

Wow, five years already?

Is this WAMH? Or something else?

Yeah, five years! Dang!

And, yes, it's With All My Heart. Of course, I may just change it around completely. :)

Actually, I'm not a member. You have to sell a screenplay first to join. But, non members can still register their screenplays and have that protection. They just have to pay a little more. (Still, it's only $20.)

Now, the interesting thing is that, even though I've registered my screenplays with the WGA, I still chose to go ahead and copyright them as well. So, I hold both copyrights and WGA registrations on all of the screenplays I've submitted anywhere.

But, if I ever sell anything, we'll go to the Oscars, okay???

How are you today?
