Can You Believe It's Almost Gone?
Oct. 3rd, 2006 05:40 amThe year, that is.
How can it be October already?
Three months until the end of the year, counting this one.
When I get this close to the end of the year, I can't help but look back over the year thus far and wonder what's in store for next year.
Because writing is important to me and probably because the past few years have been difficult on many fronts, I kinda gauge a lot of what I've learned/accomplished on my writing for the year. Also a lot of what I'm looking forward to and planning for the next.
Oh, I have "real life" progress/setbacks and goals, too, but those are more for survival than anything else.
At the point where work doesn't intrude so much into my life, then I have other goals to accomplish and other things to learn. But, right now, there's not time for everything, so I have to prioritize.
And that's okay. For now.
This year hasn't brought as many words for me as last year did, but it did bring the completion of one novel so far. I hope to complete two more by the end of the year, but that depends, of course, on overtime.
I've learned a lot, though, and I'm grateful to that. Hope to hone the new insights and put them to good use and grow a lot more as the year winds up.
