Heat

I know everyone seems to have it these days.

So, how hot is it where YOU live?

We're down from 108 over the weekened to right around 100 here.

HOWEVER...

We have 87% humidity on top of that.

Not your usual southern California weather.

ICK!

Contrary

Tonight, I'm sick.

Not just a little sick, but "oh, my god, my head is going to explode and I'm going to vomit" sick.

The problem?

Killer, killer sinus infection.

87% humidity, which isn't normal for here, doesn't help it any.

If it wasn't for the fact that I can still see, I'd say that my eyeballs had exploded already. They hurt that much.

So, I'm whiney...well, no I'm not. I'm pretty much silent, except to ask daughter to turn TV down a little. Whiney on LJ, I guess.

And, I'm very, very CONTRARY.

I hate contrary...I can see myself doing it and told myself just to go to bed cause I was being useless.

Going to try taking a bath instead and see if warm cloths on face and eyes help any. Maybe if I can get pain down, then I won't want to vomit.

Can't take sinus meds because of prescription meds I'm on. Doesn't that suck?

Must do assignment for class. Must do assignment for class.

I have a scene list assignment due by noon PST tomorrow. Which means it has to be complete and looked back over and well-thought-out and e-mailed before I leave for work in the morning.

I'll shut up now. (Did I mention I was whiney?)

Just ignore me.

I'm going to have a bath. :)

I would jump up and down if I wasn't sick. (It would make my head hurt worse.)

(Yes, I was too stupid to just go to bed like I planned. But, I'm going to now.)

I am a HUGE F. Paul Wilson fan. And, while I like the Repairman Jack books, I'm afraid my heart belongs to Glaeken and the Adversary Cycle novels.

I haven't kept up, I guess, and just discovered that he had a short story about Glaeken and Rasalom in the LONG ago, back when they were originally adversaries.

Woo-hoo!

I even found a used copy of the anthology on http://www.abebooks.com.

And bought it.

And, now, I hope the story is awesomely wonderful. :)

Seriously Spoiled

You know your cat is seriously spoiled when he comes into your bedroom, paws at the empty laundry bag, and cries because all of the nice warm laundry has been taken out already...and you put towels and tee shirts and underwear back in the back so he can curl up on top of it.
