Jump Start

Even though Kero woke me up a million times last night, I dreamed. Very deeply. Many, many dreams. Cool dreams, though I only really remember part of one.

When I dream, my brain feels better in the morning even if I'm still tired. And, when I dream like this, it means that my body rested some.

But, the best thing about sleeping that deeply is that things happen in my mind without me having to dig for them.

In the bath this morning, three new scenes for my current novel, Wildfire popped into my mind, sending me scurrying to finish so I could get back to the computer to write.

I love it when this happens.

I'd love to get more rested over the weekend so it happens more often again.

Woo-hoo! Today is Friday for me!

Oh What a Beautiful Morning....

Oh what a beautiful day...

I've got a wonderful feeling...

Everything's going my way.

Could be that I woke up feeling mentally refreshed even though I'm still rather physically tired.

Could be ideas--many, MANY ideas--for current novel.

Could be lots of nice words before work this morning.

Could be only youngest son and I enjoying music on the way to work. I seriously think he's going to end up being a music/drama major instead of an architect. He's ALWAYS loved music, been in band, choir, handbells, and now drama. And, he has really good taste in music. It was HIS choice to listen to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack this morning...and it's still playing in my mind.

Could be new novel ideas.

Could be new scene ideas for novels in progress.

Could be that today is Friday for me. I have two days off, plus the weekend, making FOUR days off in a row. HOORAY!

Could be that I get my paycheck today instead of having to wait until Friday!

Could be that nothing bad has happened here at work...yet!

Ah-oh...just saw Mr. Sourpuss drive in. Better go!

Is it Time to Go Home Yet?

Cause I seriously need those vacation days. :)

Whew. Not a bad day. Just a strenuous day.

Lots to do here and then I had a flat tire at lunch. Luckily, I was in a parking lot.

It amazed me how many people (mostly guys) walked by, stopped to look, and then hurried on. Maybe they thought I was going to ask them to help me?

What's wrong with a woman changing a flat tire? Is that such a novelty?

One of the guys went in the bank, came back out, and said, "Hey, looks like you've just about got it."

Well, D'UH!

It's not like I'm helpless or something. :)
