I Love Being Up...
Feb. 12th, 2006 08:28 amWhile everyone else in the apartment is asleep.
It's quiet (except when Kero gets insistent about sitting in Mommy's lap or being held) and peaceful and I often get some writing done in between checking my mail and reading my Live Journal.
I almost went back to sleep this morning. It was a little before 7:00 and I could have used the extra sleep since I was up so late last night...uh, early this morning.
But, I'm glad I got up. It gave me time to goof off and cuddle the cat and write about 1,200 words so far, and appreciate the fact that it's lovely and sunny outside and quiet and delightful in here.
I keep reading about the snow folks are having back east and I wonder if I could ever live in snow again after having lived away from it for 25 years.
Still, I might like to see it again. Maybe. But, I don't want to drive in it again. That sucks.
I think daughter and I shall go out for some girl time this morning. I'd told her last night that I wasn't sure I could afford it, but maybe I can work it in. I still have TONS of cans to recycle and that should pay for breakfast. We haven't done it in so long and I think I will enjoy it even more than she does.
Hope everyone has a great day. It was 81 here yesterday, even though we started out chilly and damp with the heavy fog. Today it's clear and bright and sunny. I bet it's warm again today.
