I'm amazed. I actually managed to get some writing in again this morning. It always seems to help me be more productive when I get started early.

However, it's time to go to work now, which sucks, cause I was on a roll. Hopefully, I can pick it up again later.

Out of the Darkness

1,405 words so far today.

I won't have any trouble hitting my 2,200 word count goal for the day.

Which means I should break my January word count goal today. Woo-hoo!

Current Mood: busy

I had to line up NINE interviews for today, for three different positions that we have available.

The nine people are spread over three different supervisors to interview with.

Which means some are coming in at the same time...but to see different people.

Some have filled out applications previously. Some only sent resumes and have to fill out applications NOW...which takes extra time.

In spite of that, two big shots from another office came in today.

Plus I have my regular daily work.

And, this man who keeps calling and calling about wanting a job has called me again this morning and is driving me insane. Sadly, he's not qualified for anything.

Why the heck do they have to publish my phone number in ads? They already have my fax number and e-mail address published, too.

I had to stop and post this just to make myself stop rushing long enough to take a deep breath.

There. Deep breaths help the racing feeling. I still have a headache, though.

I must sleep.

Today was insane. INSANE.

And, for the second day in a row, I had to work overtime because stupid people came to fill in applications AT CLOSING TIME!

They really were stupid. Not just because they came at the wrong time. You would not believe the kinds of people I have run into since they put up the "Now Hiring" banner outside. Hopefully, that will come down soon.

However, out of the NINE interviews I had to set up and take care of today, it looks we have our three people to call back for second interviews. (There are three different positions to be filled.) So, the day was productive and paid off.

HOWEVER...tomorrow is the last day of our fiscal month, so everything I've gotten behind on because of the HR part of my job, I have to catch up on for the accounting part of my job before I can leave work tomorrow.

Sigh...

Anyway...tomorrow is Friday.
