It's a Cuddly Kitty Kind of Day

Kitties are all curled up.

Malik curled up in my arms for the longest time and hugged and cuddled and we just generally relaxed.

Kitties woke me up early, around 6:30, which was TOO early, considering that I didn't get to bed until after midnight.

I finally crawled out of bed a little before 7:00 and did piddly things. Checked e-mail, glanced at my FL, checked my Neopets (which I hadn't done in a while), opened my file to write.

Then, I did something I couldn't believe.

I actually got dressed and took a walk!!! Walked a whole mile. I was huffing and puffing in the cold, but I did it.

Had some breakfast and tried to write but, OMG, my daughter just WON'T stop talking today. She sits behind me or stands over my shoulder and talks and talks.

So, Malik and I cuddled for a while and listened to Christmas music.

Shhh. I think my daughter is gone for a few. I'm going to try to write now.

Writing Fast

Interesting.

I've determined that I actually write better when I write fast.

I tell a much better, more focused, more emotionally-involved story. And, it's much leaner, just waiting for details to be added. Better paced, too.

It's when I slow down, wonder if I'm a sucky writer, wonder if what folks say about writing fast being bad is true, and all that other garbage, that I start to flounder.

And I write more story that needs to be pared down later.

Very interesting.
