Found this cool What D&D Character Are You? quiz on kimberlychapman's LJ, but I'm not sure how to do all the cool links and stuff yet, so I'll just give credit right here for now. (It's sad to be stupid and html illiterate.)

I'm please with how I turned out. :)

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Mage Bard

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Deity:

This afternoon and tonight, I've been thinking. That's often a dangerous thing, but, hey, it's what I do.

So, what I was wondering is what writer's block really is. I've seen lots of different definitions, read lots of discussions, heard lots of people talk about it.

Most people seem to feel that writer's block is the inability to write. But, is it really? It is always?

Or, is it different for each person?

I think I am suffering from writer's block, and yet, I've written quite a bit today. However, it seems slow and forced to me (though my sister has read it via e-mail and says it isn't) and I haven't written anywhere near what I wanted to write.

So, when the words don't seem to flow as fluidly and when I feel like I'm forcing myself to write, am I just tired or distracted? Or is that really a form of writer's block?

It doesn't stop me completely, thank heavens. It just makes me slow and not quite as pleased with what I write.

But, I tell myself anything can be fixed in the rewrite and I keep going. I don't know what else to do.

And, now I am pleased that I worked 11 hours on Friday. That means I get to have tomorrow off and don't have to go into work.

I do have to check bank balances and easy stuff like that, but I can do it from home, so that's no biggie.

Will I actually be able to finish Beginning of the End tomorrow, as is my goal? Hard to say. I'm going to give it my best effort, but try not to be too disappointed if I don't make it. I'm very, very close. It can't take too much longer, I don't think.
