Halfway Through the Week
Sep. 22nd, 2004 10:08 pmWednesday's over...HOORAY! It's downhill to the weekend from here.
Work was rough, as usual, but I must say that the local schools are often worse than work. It seems like they have it out for working parents...especially working SINGLE parents...and especially MOMS! I remember, when my oldest son was in kindergarten, one teacher told me it was better for a mom to be on welfare and stay at home with her kids than it was to work. Shameful, if you ask me.
But, my main gripe with the school is all the early release and late start and minimum days. My youngest son had a minimum day because Back to School Night was tonight. My daughter in high school had an early release day (at least one per month) so teachers could have meetings without using time after school, and my youngest son has a late start day tomorrow. EVERY Thursday. I have to take him to work with me and then leave to take him to school at 9:00. Or I have to go in late. Sheesh...talk about extra stress!!!
Don't need extra stress or less work time. I have too much to get done as it is.
Didn't feel like writing tonight, but wrote anyway.
Beginning of the End 2008 words for the day
96,383 words total so far.
I'm coming up on 100,000 words. I'm so EXCITED! Maybe tomorrow. :)
And, I should be finished within a week. Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!! Then it can breathe while I plot the next novel in the series.
Time to sleep. Yawn...
