Coming Down to the Wire

So many things in my life seem to be coming down to the wire this week.

Tomorrow is my last day of work.

Wednesday is the auction for the company and will decide the future of those of us employees that came back to work over the summer.

This week will decide whether or not I end up with insurance to take care of my current doctor won't refill the meds problem. (Goes hand-in-hand with the auction above.)

This week will decide whether I win my battle with the evil resident school district over having my youngest son transferred out to another district. I've had this fight with them each year for the past five years. In the past, I've always had to appeal to LA County Board of Education and have always won. This year, the evil school district didn't bother to tell me they'd denied until I forced them into it this morning, so my son might not get to start school next week if we're still battling it out.

And...SOMETHING DEFINITELY GOOD...but rather overwhelming at the same time...

This week, I should finish the first novel(s) in my series.

Wow...that's a lot for one week.

It feels so wrong that the US is such an enormous and rich coutnry and yet it doesn't have a national healthcare system. Come live in the UK, you'd get all your medication for free.
