Something I've Never Seen Before
Jul. 8th, 2005 08:44 am(Don't worry, friends, ultimately I'll get tired of posting this morning and go back to productive work.)
There's a tree that sits outside the window of the office I'm in until "things" are settled. Nice big tree. This place is nicely landscaped.
There are lots of squirrels we see in the lot next door. Last year we had rabbits. This year we have the tiny frogs. Lots of lizards. Hawks live across the street. Someone even said they saw a coyote one morning when they unlocked the front gate.
(Yes, this really is in LA County, in the civilized part of the world.)
Anyway, usually, the squirrels stay in the lot next door, but I just saw one climbing this tree outside the window and thought COOL, cause it reminds me of back home in Nashville (even though I've lived out here for...oh...24 years last month).
Lo and behold, that little sucker was halfway up and just...let go.
Fell off backwards.
How bizarre.
