My muse, that is. She's on the road to recovery. It's nice that she's feeling kinda chipper again.

Today was nice. Quiet. Can't complain.

After I got the call asking me to show up at work on Tuesday to talk to the receiver, I e-mailed the owner. He asked me to show up. Said he'd be there and that, after talking to all the managers and assessing the situation, they'd decide whether to call the shop back.

So, if there's a chance of saving their jobs, I'll be there.

The owner said that, if they expect work from any of us, they have to pay us. Hopefully, the back checks!!! And, I DO need to pay my rent.

I did have information sent to me today on a potential job. It's in Hollywood, accounting for a company that makes movie trailers. Sounds cool. Might make contacts that would help with my screenwriting. Downside is that it's a long commute and that the high end of the pay range is $12,000 less than what I've been making.

Best of luck! Both with the potential new job (which at least sounds interesting) and the old :)

oooh the job sounds interesting, despite the pay cut. I wonder if there's potential for a raise after 6 months? Or, would the work be so easy you could get some writing done during business hours?

Okay, Janice, too lazy to e-mail you offlist since I'm on LJ at the moment.

So... to tie this into your actual post, psych, the new possible job DOES sound interesting. And crossing fingers about working things out in your old one. I'd love to see one of your screenplays on the big screen :P I'd go more than once and drag all my friends to support you.

Oh, and also, Vegas - I'll try my best to remember the versions of Euripides I'm so fond of :P You totally have to read them, and you can borrow them so long
as you promise to send them back. I'll wither, and be sad, if they dissapear, never to be seen again. Of course, I wouldn't blame you for playing innocent, and just taking them. They're that damn good.
