Very, Very Strange

Hmm...just checked my voice mail messages for the day. (Yes, I know it's late in the day for that.)

Had a message from a lady I worked with. (Sounds strange in past tense.)

The owner had called her husband, who's PC Manager at work to ask him something and then asked her to call a couple other people and ask them the same thing.

I was one of those people.

The receiver wants me, and other department heads, to be there at 9:00 on Tuesday morning.

Hmm...bad vibes? I don't know. Maybe I'm feeling more distrustful at this point. I mean, after all, these people represent the company that put a hold on our receivables and made almost 50 people lose their jobs and made it where we lost three complete paychecks. Why should I feel warm fuzzies for them?

However...on the flip side...if they're going to let the company operate in an attempt to pay the debt or until money comes that the Navy says they'll provide at some time in the future...I'm not above working to make sure everyone gets their job back. IF THEY PAY ME.

Since I don't know what they're up to, I e-mailed the owner and asked him point blank if it's in HIS/the company's benefit for me to go. Or, if it would make things worse.

I won't decide for sure until he replies.

I am antsy about paying my rent with no job, so if they offer me a check, I'll consider. Though I still REFUSE to rat the owner/the company out. It's a matter of principle, you know.
