I'm in Heaven
Sep. 25th, 2004 10:14 amToday's going to be a good day.
I got a little more sleep than my usual 5 hours per night, so my brain is actually fairly functional this morning. Always a good thing. :)
I don't hate what I'm writing. Another good thing.
I see places I need to rearrange to move my plot along more in a more progressive fashion, but I'm resisting the urge to rearrange and cut and edit now. If I start, I'll never finish. I am nothing if not an eternal editor. I must finish the novel FIRST, and then edit.
I do have a better plan in mind for finishing and editing.
Also have some pretty good plot points ready for the second novel in the series, Yami no Tenshi (Angel of Darkness), titled in Japanese and subtitled in English (if I can get away with it) because it's set in Japan. I am sooooo ready to start it, but I'm waiting until November for National Novel Writing Month. Hopefully, I'll have a good outline/battle plan in hand by that point.
And, what really makes today heaven is that it's QUIET. Two kids are at school (even though they're good kids, they talk a lot), one is in the living room playing Playstation 2, and I found LOW CARB cheesecake at Smart & Final!!!! It's so hard to find low/no sugar heavenly items like that.
So, I'm having a slice of cheesecake, a diet Coke, and writing my heart out.
Could life get any better than that?
